Who is behind Dollhouse Doodles?

Dollhouse Doodles is a design brand created and run by Roxy Roscoe (me!)

I'm a 30-something mum living in Manchester, England. I live with my daughter Evangeline and my partner James, and our six cats!

I wanted to launch this shop to try my best to create things that are beneficial to everybody - I'm Autistic, queer, plus-size, and live with chronic illness and mental health issues.

A lot of us that identify with any of these marginalised demographics can struggle to find products that work for US and not the 'average majority' of society. I believe everyone deserves to feel comfortable, confident, and able to express themselves however they choose.

I started my original business Dinky Dot's Dollhouse selling jewellery and accessories (you can visit my Etsy here) and I wanted to explore my interest in design and illustration - Dollhouse Doodles is the result of that!

When will my order arrive?

Every order is custom-made to your requirements, and slow fashion takes time!

Most orders will be made and shipped out within 5 working days, but once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further info!

Delivery times can vary depending on your location, so if you're not sure or you need something by a specific date, just ask and I'll see what I can do.

What is Ecologi?

Ecologi is the company we partner with to integrate climate action into every transaction.

For every $30USD (converted) you spend at Dollhouse Doodles, they will plant a tree in a rainforest restoration project! They will also fund verified carbon credits with 1KG of carbon removal, to offset any unavoidable carbon emissions.

We do this to ensure that we can claim to be operating at 'net zero' - by supporting Net Zero Aligned Carbon Offsetting.

Ecologi helps us to support high-quality nature-based projects that restore and protect ecosystems, enhance biodiversity and water security, and strengthen climate resilience for local communities.

From reforestation and peatland revival, to coastal and blue-carbon habitats, they channel finance into measurable nature-positive outcomes that go beyond carbon to actively regenerate the living systems that our business depends on.

This allows us to go from a fashion business that could be a part of the problem, to instead being part of the solution.

Where are your products manufactured?

Dollhouse Doodles products are designed in Manchester in England, and then handmade both locally and globally.

We very carefully choose our manufacturing partners to make sure we're prioritising quality, sustainability, and fair wages for everyone involved. The vast majority of our products are handmade locally in the UK, but a few are made in Latvia or Canada.

Fair trade, ethical standards, and local workplace laws are strictly adhered to. We will never work with any manufacturer or trader who doesn't operate to a high ethical standard.

Are the product images accurate?

The majority of our listing mockup images (photos of garments on models, etc) are automatically provided by the printers we work with.

The 'blurriness' that appears on some of these digital mockup images is NOT an accurate representation of the fabric print quality you will receive! We are super careful to ensure that all designs are created at the highest possible DPI, for crisp, clean lines.

Unfortunately the mockups generated by the fabric printers can occasionally look a bit rubbish in terms of resolution - but rest assured, your product will look much higher quality in person!

We are working to try and fix this and will hopefully be able to provide better mockup images in time. We are quite a new shop, so once we receive customer photos of you lovely lot wearing our products, we'll be able to replace the images with real-world versions!

What is your return policy?

Every piece is custom-made to order, so each customer is different. For hygiene reasons, and to save on fuel and waste, we don't accept returned items (I'd have nowhere in my tiny house to store them!).

However, if you're not happy with your order for any reason, please get in touch within 28 days, send us a picture, and we'll do our best to fix it!
